kff is striving for Excellence with its new range of fine foods
Excellence-Logolg02

kff is stirring things up in foodservice with its launch of Excellence, an exciting new collection of specialist fine foods and ingredients, intended to enthuse chefs.

The Excellence range brings together around 900 innovative products, focusing on the raw ingredients necessary to produce memorable dishes. Each product has been selected for its outstanding quality as well as great menu appeal.

Additionally, many product ranges are exclusive to Excellence, which have been specially sourced to offer chefs a point of difference on their menus.

Marketing Manager Andy Weir comments on the launch: “We looked at the way the market is evolving.  Operators are becoming far more sophisticated in their food offerings and this is evident across a wider spectrum of the market, for instance the growth of the gastro pub sector. Many consumers are now seeking an eating experience, and operators are having to step up their game in response to this.”

“We also discovered that many chefs were sourcing high quality ingredients, but from many different specialist suppliers.  It therefore became apparent that there was an opportunity for one supplier to provide the key products that a modern chef needs, hence the launch of Excellence,” concludes Andy.

The kff Excellence range is also proud to endorse the Produced in Kent scheme, which supports food products genuinely produced locally. Products are highlighted accordingly throughout the Excellence brochure and examples include fresh fruit and vegetables, a delicious range of local chutneys and Speldhurst hand-linked sausages.

Says Brian Booth of Ardennes Restaurant in Faversham, Kent: “The products in the Excellence range are of a quality you would expect if you are, or aspiring to be, a Michelin-starred restaurant. From the brochure, you get the impression the products are top of the range and upon trying a selection, they truly are.”

Due to the breadth of the product range, Excellence will appeal not only to restaurants, hotels and pubs, but also to a broader market including contract caterers, sport and leisure operators and cafes.

Comments John Woodward, Executive Chef of contract caterer Everson Hewett: “Finally...a whole range of high quality specialist ingredients, which are available from just one supplier. Excellence has made a big impact on our business, not only do the products suit our operation perfectly, but they have inspired our chefs to create fresh, exciting dishes. I'm also very pleased to see an abundance of local produce in the range, something we are also paying particular attention to.”

Alongside this unique range of products, kff offers unrivalled service from its new purpose built distribution centre in Aylesford, Kent.  Customers can benefit from next day delivery (restrictions apply), an efficient and accurate ordering service plus higher level CMi certification, offering peace of mind.
