These days, consumers are increasingly conscious about where their food comes from.

In a recent survey by Farmers Weekly magazine, more than three quarters of adults in the UK believe that restaurants and pubs should use locally sourced food. Almost half of the 1,011 adults questioned expressed concern that one third of the food consumed in the UK is imported.

kff is passionate about local produce and wherever possible, suppliers are sourced throughout London and the south east to promote sustainability.

This step highlights our commitment to improving the environment, as it is well known that food miles contribute to pollution and global warming. Sourcing locally reduces the amount of miles food travels, and the less distance food travels, the better it is.

This gives you access to the freshest, finest ingredients possible. Buying local produce and advertising it as such gives you a point of difference on your menu and will attract additional custom.

kff is a member of Produced in Kent, an organisation which promotes the diversity of the county’s food and drink products.
