Deep Fried Hirata Bun

Defrost Hirata buns before use. Overnight in a fridge or an hour or so at room temperature should do it. Mix granulated sugar with cinnamon in a bowl and leave to one side Deep fry buns in hot oil set to 190°C, turning frequently to ensure even cooking. Drain on kitchen towel to absorb excess oil. Whilst buns are still warm coat in the cinnamon sugar, fill with a couple of scoops of ice cream and drizzle with the topping sauces.
