Regional Account Manager

Reporting to: Regional Sales Manager, Based at home with access to central London

The Regional Account Manager is responsible for growing the MAT, exceeding sterling and profit targets for kff within a defined geographical area and portfolio of accounts. Regional Account Managers are expected to be able to create their own opportunities and develop business in both existing and new business sectors. 

Key responsibilities and accountabilities: 

  ♦ To exceed both sterling sales target and the company profit margin target.
  ♦ Maximize business for the company through existing customer base using intelligent and efficient call coverage.
  ♦ Generate own new business opportunities with customers matching kff’s target profile.
  ♦ Track daily, weekly and quarterly performance against agreed KPI’s and targets.
  ♦ Make sure all administration is up to date and acted upon.

Competency profile required/Person specification:

  ♦ Preferably minimum 3 years sales experience in Food Sector sales, showing a result’s driven sales career to-date.
  ♦ Has passion for food and can demonstrate creativity in menu design and understands portioning control, menu planning and financial costing etc.
  ♦ Demonstrates an understanding of planning and can construct a sales strategy. 
  ♦ Is competent at demonstrating gross profit analysis and rebate structures.
  ♦ Experience of working with multiple outlet accounts and head office controlled establishments.
  ♦ Confident in cold calling as well as customer care and development of existing customers. 
  ♦ PC Literate and confident in using Microsoft packages especially excel.
  ♦ Confident with cold selling skills to new group customers, as well as customer care and development of existing customers. 
  ♦ Able to demonstrate that they can communicate at all levels both verbally and written.
  ♦ Able to demonstrate a “self –starter” approach to their role and own development.
  ♦ Clear understanding of the principles of Persuasive/Consultative Selling process.

Area Sales Manager

Reporting to: Regional Sales Manager, Based at home, Location: Southampton, Portsmouth, Basingstoke 

The Area Sales Manager (ASM) is responsible for growing the MAT, exceeding sterling and profit targets for kff within a defined geographical area, by selling a range of chilled, dry and frozen products from the kff range. Area Sales Managers are expected to generate their own opportunities and develop business in both existing and new business sectors. The ASM has a direct report to the Regional Sales Manager.

  ♦ To exceed both sterling sales target and the company profit margin target.
  ♦ Maximize business for the company through existing customer base using intelligent and efficient call coverage.
  ♦ Generate own new business opportunities with customers matching kff’s target profile.
  ♦ Track daily, weekly and quarterly performance against agreed KPI’s and targets.
  ♦ Make sure all administration is up to date and acted upon.

Telephone Sales

This position is a full time working Monday – Friday 10.00 to 6.00pm with a half hour lunch break. There is also a requirement to work an occasional Sunday.

The successful applicant must be a good team player, with excellent communication and organisational skills.  They must be motivated by a desire to achieve company targets and a high level of customer service.

Job description:

  ♦ To manage a territory of existing customers, alongside the external representative.
  ♦ Each day work through a call list of customers, within a timely and orderly manner.
  ♦ Answer incoming telephone calls and dealing with customer queries and order requirements.
  ♦ Process orders accurately with a detail to the promotions, pricing, stock availability, and specials.
  ♦ To complete pricing forms for new products ordered by customers.
  ♦ Participate in company Ra Ra’s with suppliers and actively promote their products.
  ♦ Promote monthly promotions and assist in selling through discontinued and short dated product lines.
  ♦ Actively review non-buyers and ensure effective communication to customer administration.
  ♦ Liaise with goods inwards, transport and customer care.
