kff is a leading foodservice supplier committed to delivering quality food products direct to the caterer, operating throughout London, Oxfordshire and the South of England.
We currently have an immediate vacancy for a Night Shunter to join our friendly Operations team in Aylesford, Kent.
The role of Night Shunter is to move vehicles safely around the yard and position them on loading bays ready for loading and to ensure they are plugged in, and a good temperature is maintained.
This role will could include working in all weathers & at temperatures of -25.
  •  
    Key responsibilities and accountabilities:  
  • Maintain & control safe vehicle movement
  • Reversing vehicles safely on to loading bays
  • Use of two-way radios to communicate effectively
  • Moving various palletized goods around site to different locations
  • Health & Safety of the yard area and you
  • Defect reporting – available & unavailable vehicles
  • You may also be required to assist in the Warehouse (should the need arise)
  • Carry out any other additional requests as required by your line manager
  •  
    Competency profile required/Person specification:
  • Have good numeracy and literacy skills
  • Good communication
  • Be able to follow radio instructions
  • Good understanding of Health and Safety Practices and Procedures
  • Be a good problem solver
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Display flexibility
